2027 brides: it’s time to talk stationery

First: yes, already.

2027 still sounds comfortably far away.

Except if you are getting married next spring or summer, we have some news: your wedding is now less than a year away.

No panic. You absolutely do not need to know your seating plan, final menu or whether table seven is getting candles.

But you might want to start thinking about paper.

Your stationery starts earlier than you think

Wedding stationery is not just the invitation. It starts with the save the date and slowly becomes the visual thread running through the whole wedding: invitations, menus, place cards, table numbers, seating plans, welcome signs and all the tiny paper details nobody thinks about until suddenly they need 120 of them.

The good news? You don't need to design all of that now. You just need to start finding the world they will belong to.

Start with a personality, not a Pinterest board

What should your wedding look like on paper? Maybe it's an illustration of your venue. A flower with an actual meaning. A monogram. A slightly unexpected colour. Something borrowed from the place you're getting married.

The goal isn't for somebody to look at your invitation and think “very 2027.” t's for them to think “very them.” Much better.

And yes, bespoke takes time

Anything created specifically for your wedding needs a little room to exist.

Ideas change. Illustrations need to be painted. Colours need testing. Paper needs choosing. And there will almost certainly be one tiny detail you decide to change after staring at it for three days.

Starting early doesn't mean ordering your menus nine months before the wedding.

It means having enough time not to rush the good part.

So, what now?

If your 2027 date and venue are booked, this is a very good moment to start thinking about your save the dates, invitations and the visual identity that will eventually follow you all the way to the table.
